Textile Auxiliaries

Fatty esters are among the main components of textile auxiliaries. They are used as coning oil (lubrication), emulsifier, secondary softener and antistatic agent. The use of fatty chemicals in the textile industry is based on the excellent lubricating properties of long aliphatic hydrocarbon chains. Next to this lubricating property, several fatty chemicals also act as surfactants. The fatty esters used by Oleon combine surface active properties with lubricant and emollient properties normally associated with long aliphatic chains. These esters are predominantly oil soluble, although dispersible in water.
