Another important Oleon investment in Ertvelde

The board of directors of Oleon nv, at present an independent oleochemical company and formerly part of Atofina (the Chemicals group of TotalFinaElf), has decided to invest 120 million BEF in a new office building on its factory site in Ertvelde. 

This decision comes only two months after the announcement of an investment of 28 million BEF (6.9 million EURO) for the expansion of a new glycerine-refinery with a capacity of 30.000 tons per year.

 The new office building will meet the need for efficient and appropriate space for the personnel of the Ertvelde site. The building will also serve as the international headquarter of the company and as such contribute to the image of Oleon, to a better teamwork, as well as to the competitiveness and the flexibility of the group. The construction will take Oleon’s ambitions for growth into account. 

The occupation of the new offices is expected at the end of 2002.
