ARD (France) and Oleon nv (Belgium) are creating Wheatoleo, a 50/50 JV focused on green surfactants
ARD (France) and Oleon nv (Belgium) are joining forces in order to market a new generation of fully natural, vegetal renewable, sugar surfactants based on pentosides.
These innovative surfactants, called APP (alkyl poly pentosides) have outstanding properties and are environmentally harmless. ARD has been heavily involved in the development of the APP’s (with the support of the French organism ADEME/AGRICE and of the Region Champagne Ardenne), which will be produced by Oleon.
The commercialisation will be done through the Oleon and Soliance (affiliate of ARD) international sales networks.
This specialised "green" product range fits in both partners’ long term strategy (valorisation of agricultural side streams into performance oleochemicals) and will provide users in various industries with a comprehensive range of emulsifiers, surfactants and hydrotropes.
