Government discloses the chosen biodiesel producers
For bioethanol Bio Wanze (Wanze), Alco Bio Fuel (Ghent) and Tate & Lyle (Aalst) were granted a permit by the government.
For the production of biodiesel Néochim (Féluy), Oleon (Ertvelde), Proviron (Ostend) and Flanders Bio Fuel (Gistel) were selected.
The biofuels, which will not be sold more expensive than the regular fuels at the petrol station, will be gradually available as from November 2006. At first only biodiesel will be sold, the sale of bioethanol will be for end 2007.
