Oleon adjusts strategy and changes CEO
Following three years of rapid growth, Oleon now enters a period where after the multiple new investments and acquisitions the focus will be on optimization, development and / or integration.
Within the framework of this focus, and in full consultation with all concerned, Luc Sterckx has decided to step down as CEO effective March 1, 2004 to be replaced by Mr. Chris Depreeuw. Chris Depreeuw (48 years old) has earned an engineering degree and has a professional background in the financial / private equity as well as the industrial sector. Since 1991 he is the CEO of Remi Claeys Aluminium, based in Lichtervelde.
The Board of Directors has asked Mr. Luc Sterckx to remain on the Board in order to further support the company in realizing its objectives from his position as Member of the Board.
