Emmerich plant
Emmerich, located on the river Rhine in Germany, is Oleon's German site for Oleochemicals & Specialties. It started its activity in 1908. Easily accessible by ship, rail and road our products find their way to customers all over the world.
About 100 people are working in Emmerich. The Emmerich site is ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and kosher certified. Safety and environment are corner stones of the operation. Management is looking into compliance with HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards. The business is focused on the manufacture of vegetable oil oleochemicals. Raw materials used include: lauric oils (e.g. coconut), soya, sunflower, linseed, rapeseed, and castor. The Emmerich site has splitting, distillation, fractionation, stand and blown oils capabilities. There are several plants for producing special products which are related to fatty acids or their raw materials. Total production capacity in Emmerich is 70.000 tons per year and will be gradually increased in the coming years.
