ILMA is the voice of member companies that produce automotive lubricants and metalworking fluids in North America. Founded in 1948, ILMA members consist of manufacturers, distributors and suppliers that specializes in various segments of the lubricant market.
The BioTfuel project is the first of its kind, with the concept to transform biomass residues instead of edible plants into biofuels. Launched in 2010, the project aimed to develop second-generation biofuels, with a view to testing, validating and optimizing a completely integrated chain for the production of advanced biojet fuel and biodiesel. BioTfueL is a strong partnership project between six leading players in the energy field : Axens, Avril, CEA, IFP Energies Nouvelles, ThyssenKrupp Industrial Solutions and TotalEnergies.
With two initiatives, a group agreement with the social partners as well as a partnership with Agefiph, the Avril Group, which has been committing to the subject of disability as part of its CSR approach since 2014, is continuing its action in favor of a collective and inclusive project, in line with its purpose of "Serving the Earth".
Oleon is able to look back at another successful year of increasing the sustainability in our palm supply chain. In 2021, Oleon expanded our collaboration with NGO Earthworm Foundation, who started providing support for our grievance management system. We were also able to improve the traceability in our palm supply chain.
The electrification of passenger cars is the dominating, disruptive trend in the automotive industry. The objective is the reduction of the carbon footprint of the road transport sector, which accounts for over 18% of the global GHG emissions. Strengthening regulations on fuel economy and emission control, imposed by governments and global institutions, together with consumer preferences, necessitate car manufacturers to radically re-develop their vehicle architectures.
