Closure & sale Oleon Sandefjord
2015-01-19

After downscaling the production over the course of the past several years, we discontinued our operations in Sandefjord at the end of 2014, as our Norwegian plant could no longer be aligned without general business strategy.

One key reason that led to this decision was the lack of availability of local raw materials, resulting in 100% import of needed raw materials. This not only has led to higher raw material supply chain costs but as well to non-optimal carbon footprints. As sustainable production is a top priority for our group, this consideration assisted in taking our decision.

Satisfactory arrangements were made and agreed on for all parties concerned.  We wish to express our sincere thanks to our colleagues in Sandefjord who have performed their duties loyally for over 10 years.
