R&D Manager Industrialization Chemical & Biochemical Processes
Responsibilities: 

Your role

Reporting to the R&D Manager of transversal teams, you are in charge of a team of 6 to 10 people composed of engineers and technicians. Your mission is to define and implement the industrial transfer of new products from the laboratory scale to their industrialization. Your main responsibilities consist in finding innovative solutions for the improvement of our existing processes as well as for the development of new processes. You demonstrate that these solutions are technically appropriate and economically efficient. You are also responsible for acquiring the basic data necessary to improve our existing processes in order to make them more competitive. Your technical and scientific missions are as follows:

  • You are involved in R&D projects, engineering projects or industrial projects, - You propose innovative technical solutions, ensuring the development of our processes,
  • You are in charge of acquiring the process master data necessary for R&D and industrial projects for process development or improvement,
  • You capitalize on the process expertise in your field of action and are in charge of technology monitoring and patents on these subjects
  • You supervise, evaluate and manage the development of your employees' skills,
  • You respect the processes and contribute to the application of Safety and Quality procedures within the team
Requirements: 

Your profile

  • You have a Bachelor or Master degree in Chemistry, Chemical Process Engineering, Oleochemistry, you have demonstrated your ability to manage a team and development projects during a first significant experience (> 5 years) 
  • Experience in process engineering (basic study, P&D, Aspen, Prosim, etc...) would be a plus. 
  • Fluent in both French and English, you aspire to work in an international environment. You are mobile and available for travel in France, Belgium and abroad. 
  • Motivated by R&D, you like to take initiatives and are responsive. 
  • Acting as a leader, you lead your projects in a rigorous and methodical way to achieve results.
