Oleon Joins iMasons Innovation Incubator, Opening Collaboration in New State-of-the-Art Facilities

Ertvelde, September 25, 2025 – Oleon, a trusted provider of sustainable, bio-based oleochemical products, is proud to announce that its App Lab has been accepted into the prestigious iMasons Innovation Incubator Program. Located at Avril’s ATV site in Compiègne, near Paris, the App Lab serves as a technology hub dedicated to advancing immersion cooling solutions.

Why Oleon’s App Lab?

The App Lab showcases immersion cooling systems and facilitates testing of various servers and cooling systems using Qloe™ – Oleon's patented, plant-based dielectric fluid. It currently hosts systems from Iceotope, Midas, and GRC, with plans to expand to include Submer, AirSys spray-cooled systems, and Vertiv.

Driven by our Serve the Earth mission, Oleon has contacted the iMasons incubator to enable collaboration on the use of their state of the art facilities with partners in line with the incubators core mission to ‘harness collective experience and resources to uncover, guide, and accelerate digital infrastructure innovation’.

As the world's digital footprint expands exponentially due to high-density compute (HDC) and AI, so too does its environmental impact. The energy and water consumption of data centers hosting HDC is already significant and continues to grow.

Maarten Trautmann, Data Center Fluids Lead at Oleon, notes that the IEA predicts data center electricity consumption will reach 3% by 2030, adding, "Water is often overlooked. It's a scarce resource, and we see significant community protest due to high data center water and energy consumption. Immersion cooling offers a solution: enabling high-density computing while minimizing environmental burden.”

This approach aligns with iMasons’ mission to unite digital age builders and foster technical innovation, sustainability, and community engagement.

Beau Van Vaerenbergh, Principal R&D Engineer at Oleon, stated: “The App Lab perfectly aligns with our innovation strategy, empowering passionate research teams to collaborate across disciplines and organizations. It provides an ideal environment to test our cutting-edge QLOE technology, ensuring technical excellence across a broad range of single-phase immersion cooling systems.”

Romain Tranchant, Innovation Chair at iMasons, added: “Oleon’s App Lab perfectly exemplifies how the incubator transforms innovation spaces into collaborative hubs. By connecting Oleon with key partners, we can facilitate activities from technical workshops to ESG-focused training, driving collective industry progress. This collaboration is central to the Innovation Incubator's mission.”

iMasons welcomes App Lab, powered by Oleon, to the Innovation Incubator Program!
